Mind Platter Book Review

Mind Platter:

A self-help book that will change your life!

(This article has some affiliate links from Amazon, but it doesn't mean that my opinion is biased. I am recommending you those books which I love and want you to have on your bookshelf.)

I was not a fan of self-help books as I enjoy the fiction world more than non-fiction. But, this book is exceptional. It was my first (but not last) self-help book which helped me in the phase of gloominess and helped me in beating the negativity from my life.

This book is composed of short paragraphs written in simple language and aimed to heal our souls and make us better human beings. These paragraphs are not sermons, but a mirror in which we can see our true identity.

Every paragraph has different sub-themes with the main theme of life. Every paragraph touches on a sensitive emotion or aspect of human personality and society.

Najwa Zebian, the author of Mind Platter, has written an exceptional book by peeking into the souls of human beings. Every paragraph is relevant to us and helps us in peeling a layer of our identity.

I have read and re-read this book whenever I want some inspiration, or have a negative phase of my life. Here are some quotes from the book which I love the most.

Mind Platter Book Quotes:

"Don't break a bird's wings and then tell it to fly. Don't break a heart and then tell it to love. Don't break a soul and then tell it to be happy. Don't see the worst in a person and expect them to see the best in you. Don't judge people and expect them to stand by your side. Don't play with fire and expect to stay perfectly safe. Life is about giving and taking. You cannot expect to give bad and receive good. You cannot expect to give good and receive bad. Does it happen? Yes, but don't make that an excuse for you to keep doing what you know is wrong. Don't blame life for what you do. That is so selfish and ignorant on your behalf."

"Don’t rely on others to make your life better. You may seem like a puzzle piece that fits nicely into their plans at one point, but what happens if they change their minds? So be it. You have a mind to lead you by logic and a heart to lead you by reason. You choose your fate by taking responsibility and by taking the lead in your life. Don’t make yourself part of others’ plans. Make your plan and be part of it."

"At the end of the day, no one will walk your journey for you. You have to do that. At the end of the day, no one will dream for you. You have to do that."

"Today I decided to forgive you. Not because you apologized, or because you acknowledged the pain that you caused me, but because my soul deserves peace."

"The mistake most of us make is that we build our homes in other people in the hope that they will deem us worthy of being welcomed inside. We feel so abandoned and empty when people leave because we’ve invested so much of ourselves in them."

"These mountains that you are carrying, you were only supposed to climb."

You have noticed that these quotes have poetic aspects in them. These are prose with simple and aesthetic language. This aspect makes this book musical and deep. Whenever you will read a paragraph, your first thought will be:

"It is me! It is happening in my life!"

Whenever you re-read this book, you will feel like you are reading it for the first time. Every line and paragraph will again heal your soul and will inspire you to change your life.

I highly recommend that you read this book, and give it to your loved ones. It will be an amazing gift for your loved ones.
