Love Starts After Nikkah Last Chapter

Chapter 30

It had been two days since she was in her parents' home, locking herself in the room.

These two days she hadn't contacted Sahir nor gone to university.

This whole scenario was crushing her soul, draining all the energy and happiness from her being.

"Saba?" Her mother stepped into the room while she was leaning against the headboard.

"Yes?" She said, tiredness lacing her tone.

"Sahir is on the call."

Her face became pale while tiredness seeped deeper into her bones. Her mother extended the phone so she had no choice but to attend it.

"Hello?"

Her mother went outside to give them privacy.

"Why are you ignoring me?" Sahir's furious voice boomed from the other side.

"I just want to be alone for some time." Her voice was a half whisper.

"Why?"

"You know the reason." A lump of tears stung in her throat.

"No, I don't. Explain it to me."

His voice became soft at hearing tears in her voice, but still, it remained cold and serious.

"You have heard what everyone else is saying. I think staff also have started discussing us in………..bad words."

She stopped herself from using any harsh terms and settled on "bad words". Her voice was defeated at which Sahir's lips turned into a thin line and worry for her rippled in his orbs.

"Saba, you can't solve any issue of the world by running away from it. Face it, dude. Tomorrow, come to the university, and let's solve this issue together. Your studies and your future are more important than these mere gossips of some idle people."

He said softly at which she nodded her head while tears stung her eyes.

"Answer me."

His voice became a bit frustrated.

"I nodded my head." She replied with a soft chuckle while tears were swimming in her orbs. At her reply, Sahir also chuckled.

After hanging up the call, she went outside to sit with her parents.

"Are you facing any issues in your married life?"

Mr. Akram asked her at which she shook her head.

"Then why haven't we seen you happy after marriage?"

Saba's mother asked her at which she became a bit self-conscious.

"No. I am happy." She gave a weak smile to her parents.

"Saba, we know something is off between you and Sahir since the beginning of this relationship. We were not interfering because we want both of you to give time to each other and accept this relationship. Sahir's parents and we know there were issues in your relationship but we were waiting for both of you to discuss it with us."

Saba gazed at her father with a bit of shock. She thought they both have put a good act in front of their parents.

"We are your parents. We know you well than you. And at this moment, I am seeing you anxious and depressed. So, tell me what is the issue?"

"There is nothing, Baba. We have solved all our issues. I was depressed for two days because of an incident but we resolved it too on the call."

She replied with a smile and put her hand on his father's hand.

"Are you sure?" Her mother's voice echoed into the room and she nodded her head with a smile adorning her face.

"Yes." She replied to which her parents nodded their heads and took a deep sigh.

Seeing their faces, she decided to go back tomorrow and solve this issue at every cost.

……………….

Night engulfed the city when Saba was lying on her bed, scrolling aimlessly through her Instagram.

It was that moment when a message notification popped on her screen, attracting her attention.

"Assalam o Alaikum Saba!

I just message you to apologize to you for everything I have done. I never thought my reckless actions could cause so much distress and pain in your life. Now, when I am going through it, I come to know that all those things were wrong.

Please accept my apology and pray for me. Next month, I am going to get married to a person whom I don't know, and who is almost ten years older than me.

Please forgive me and pray for me!"

It was none other than Asma's message which was full of a defeated and painful tone that Saba felt a pang of pain in her heart.

Allah has taken her revenge on Asma, she has asked for forgiveness, and her life is getting better with Sahir, so there is no reason for her to hold grudges against Asma.

Though her heart still felt pain at thinking of Asma's actions, she decided to let it go.

"These mountains that you are carrying, you were only supposed to climb."

These words of Najwa Zebian flashed in front of her orbs and she decided to let go of the mountain of past pains, and triumph over them with the hope of a better future.

"Walaikum Assalam!

I have no grudges against you. May you bloom and remain happy in your life. Ameen!"

She sent the reply and tossed away the mobile.

Taking a deep sigh and clearing her mind from every negative thought, she focused on taking some sleep so that she could go to university tomorrow.

…………………..

As soon as she stepped into the university, she swiftly became self-conscious. It seemed that everyone was looking at her and whispering into their ears. Though that was not the case with the whole university, her class fellows were doing this.

Boys in her class smirked at her and said something to each other in their ears and laughter boomed from their group. Ache and anger consumed her being of the insulting actions of class fellows.

She ignored all of them and stepped toward the Dean's office where Sahir had texted her to come.

Knocking on the door, and getting permission, she pushed the door to enter it. In front of her, Sahir was sitting while the Dean of their department was sitting on the office chair.

"Assalam o Alaikum" She greeted both of them and sat on the couch, listening to their reply.

"Now tell me what is the issue?"

Dean, an old man clad in a pant coat, asked them while keeping his eyes on Sahir.

"Section A of BS English 8th Semester and some colleagues are spreading false information about me and Saba. It is affecting our respect and my career."

Sahir said at which Saba gazed at him with wide eyes. Discussing such a matter in front of males made her a bit self-conscious.

"What is the matter? I have heard rumors about both of you and want to know the reality of them."

Dean asked while glancing at Saba who broke eye contact, getting a bit embarrassed with the whole situation.

"We both are husband and wife. But students misunderstood our relationship. Their accusations and rumors have affected our mental health and I want you to give them a warning."

The shock was on Dean's face and he glanced at both of them.

"I will do this, Sahir. But, I have never seen both of you coming together in university."

These words of Dean made Sahir a bit embarrassed and he glanced at Saba who was gazing at her. He had nothing to say.

"We want this relationship to remain secret so that no one can accuse Sahir of any dishonesty or favoritism."

Saba replied, saving Sahir from any embarrassment.

"Very well! It shows how much you care about your dignity and career. I will try to stop these rumors so that no harm will occur to your dignity."

Dean replied with a smile to which they both gave a smile and thanked him.

When they both stepped out of the classroom, Sahir turned toward her.

"Go and take all of your classes. Ignore every person, and at 4 o'clock be in the parking lot."

She nodded at him and went toward the classroom. Though the situation had been under control, she had lost her friends.

The whole day, she faced their judgemental looks and loneliness. No friend came near her, and she remained alone in the classrooms, during the free periods, and in the cafe.

At last, the clock struck 4 pm and she went toward the parking lot. It would be the first time she would leave the university in Sahir's car.

After five minutes, he came into the parking lot and after seven minutes, their car was zooming out of the university.

"How was the day?"

"Good." She murmured while Sahir could feel sadness lacing her tone.

"In life, a lot of incidents and things don't happen according to your wishes. You have to compromise with them, and have to let them go so that you can focus on your life."

He said at which she nodded her head, heart becoming heavy and gloomy.

"Let's have ice cream." He offered at which she nodded her head and gave a weak smile to him. Her heart didn't want anything at this moment, but Sahir was trying to uplift her mood so she had to pretend cheerfully.

……………….

The next day, when she stepped into the classroom, there was a hushed silence as everyone was gazing at her. Ignoring all of them, she sat on the chair, taking out her notes to keep herself busy.

"Saba, how are you?" One of her class fellows approached her, at which she nodded her head and smiled at her.

"We don't know you and Sir Sahir are husband and wife." She said at which the whole class averted her gaze at her.

"Yes, dude. Sahir doesn't want anyone to know about this marriage so I have to keep it a secret."

She replied while her gaze went toward her friends who were gazing at her with round orbs. Ignoring all of them again, she sat in her seat.

Sahir entered the classroom, feeling the orbs and whispering of class but ignored it. He knew he had to endure this thing for a while.

Pin-drop silence kept prevailing in the classroom while he delivered the lecture. In the end, when everyone started leaving, he stopped Saba's group to talk to them. Saba didn't notice this thing as she had already left the class.

……………

"Saba, be ready. Some guests are going to visit us at night." Sahir said to her who was lying on the bed with a laptop in her lap.

"Which guests?"

She asked, a bit surprised.

"You will know in the night. We will order something for them for dinner so don't fret about it."

He said, sprinkling a bit of perfume on himself.

"It is Sunday. Where are you going?" She asked while gazing at the Google Docs where the client's article was open.

"Entrepreneurs have no holidays." He took a deep sigh and replied to which she nodded her head while gazing at her client's work.

"I also have a lot of clients' chores to do." She chuckled and replied.

Sahir smiled at her.

"That's why I didn't want you to get burdened by the guests."

He said and left the room, leaving her alone to deal with her client's tasks.

……………….

Night encapsulated the whole city when the ring of the doorbell tore through the peaceful environment of the house, indicating the arrival of guests.

Saba stood from her couch and went toward the main door of the hall from where guests had to step in. Along with her, Mrs. Amna was also present.

Opening the door, her eyes rounded at seeing some of her teachers there. Her face got pale but Mrs. Amna stepped forward and greeted all of them with a smile.

They escorted the guests to the drawing room when Sahir came out of his room, flashing a smile at his colleagues.

"Maintain your smile, wifey."

Stepping forward, he whispered into her ears and went toward the guests, leaving her dumbfounded.

After a few minutes, another shock was there for her. Iqra and Fiza stepped into the house with gifts in their hands.

"Congratulations on your marriage, Saba!"

Fiza stepped forward and greeted her with a bright smile at which she gave a side hug with a smile. Iqra also stepped forward, gave her a gift, and hugged her which she returned.

Though a wall of pain and distrust build up between them, she still had some great memories and good nature friends. Their friendship would have a crack from now on, but there is hope that it will be fulfilled.

Her friends had accepted the invitation and visited her in their attempt to resolve the misunderstandings, so she also had to step forward to sustain their friendship.

After breaking the hug, she averted her gaze toward Sahir who was gazing at them with a bright smile.

Flashing him with a smile, she escorted her friends toward the lounge.

………………..

Moon was shining brightly in the sky, peeking into the room where Saba was standing in front of the dressing table, taking off her jewelry. Clad in a black long frock with a red hijab and light makeup, she looked adorable.

Her gaze was on the jewelry when she felt two hands hugging her from the back.

"How was the night?"

He half whispered near her ears at which a smile adorned her face.

"Beautiful!"

She replied while gazing at him through the reflection of the mirror. Her orbs were glinting and happiness danced on her face.

"I am glad to see you happy. Things will slowly start getting better."

He said and turned her toward him at which a bright smile adorned her face.

"InShaAllah!"

"Well, I have something special for you."

He said at which curiosity morphed in her expression.

"What?"

He took out his mobile opened an app, he showed her something.

"We are going to Naran Kaghan?" She asked excitedly, gazing at the hotel booking form.

"Yup! After two days, we are going to leave!"

Spark shone in her orbs and her heartfelt happiness and gratitude for the blessings of Allah.

…………………….

The cold wind hit their face at which a smile adorned her face. Mild noise of water falling from rocks was in the background while they were strolling on the road of Naran Kaghan.

"How much will it take to drive us toward Jheel Saif-ul-Malook?"

Sahir asked the question from the jeep driver. After finalizing the quote, they both stepped into the jeep.

"Road to Jheel is a bit bumpy and a bit dangerous. So, gear up yourself."

He said at which she nodded her head, excitement vibrating from her being.

A smirk came on Sahir's face, and he eagerly started waiting for the road to Jheel.

Saba was gazing outside the jeep, making videos and enjoying the view but her eyes rounded when they started their journey on the road.

"It is ridiculous! You should tell me it is a lot dangerous." She gazed at him with round orbs who shrugged his shoulders.

"Already warned you." He said with a teasing smile at which anger rippled in Saba's orbs.

But then the jeep jumped a bit because of the rocky road at which Saba's orbs rounded and she clasped Sahir's arms in her tight grip and snuggled her face into his chest.

He gazed at her face with a smile while the jeep ran toward the Jheel area.

………………..

"Last paper, last day in the university!"

Her whole class was sitting in a circle on the ground, chatting with each other.

Laughing and taking pictures of each other, they spend quality time together.

At 5 pm, she went toward the parking lot where Sahir was already sitting in the car.

When she sat on the seat, she observed some reports lying on the dashboard.

"My reports are here?" She asked while grabbing the reports while Sahir's eyes remained on the screen.

"We are going to Gynecologists Khadija." He announced at which her hands trembled a bit and gazed at him with round orbs.

"Congratulations, Wifey!"

He said, glancing at her shocked face with a smile.

Blush crept on Saba's cheeks while a smile adorned her face.

Smiles capped the happiness which was running into their veins, adding sweetness to their hearts.

…………………….

Echoes of drums and songs could be heard in the room where Asma was sitting, clad in a red lehenga.

Her heart was filled with fear and her mind was numb.

Different thoughts came into her mind, and her heart was praying for happiness.

She didn't know about her husband, the stain on her character was making her anxious.

At last, some girls came into the room, she took a deep sigh, and embraced herself to step into the unexpected future.
